The Long Beach Conservancy’s mission is to restore, preserve, and revitalize the historic architectural and cultural resources of Long Beach, California.
The specific purpose of this 501(c)(3) non-profit is to restore, preserve, and revitalize the historic architectural and cultural resources of Long Beach, CA, as well as educate the broader community about local historic places, strengthen community bonds, and foster economic development and adaptive reuse of historic resources.

Long Beach Conservancy believes the key to our preservation and restoration goals is through inter-generational cooperation, diversity, and inclusion—work together to strengthen the bonds of our community. One of our goals is to be an accessible, diverse, and inclusive organization reflecting Long Beach as a whole.
How We are Organized…
The Long Beach Conservancy’s organizing principles are built around diversity and inclusion. We wish to education empower our members to create mentoring relationships, strengthen our relationships within the community, and foster a participative management style for our organization. We wish to build community bonds and cross -promote other volunteer organizations with similar or related goals for the good of Long Beach as a whole.

The Long Beach Conservancy recognizes the Tongva as the past, present, and future caretakers of the land, water, and cultural resources in the un-ceded territory of Long Beach and its surrounding area. We recognize and respect the history of the original inhabitants, the Tongva, and we are committed to sharing this history.
